Background Information

The Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering is a four-year course that aims to produce highly competent engineers in the field of electronics and communications. This program cultivates the ability of the student to develop technical skills, competence and techniques in analyzing and conceptualizing designs in electronics and communications. Graduates of the ECE program can be employed in the following industries namely aerospace, broadcasting, wires and cables, fiber optic technology, telecommunications, consumer goods, manufacturing and construction industry. They can further be employed in academic, health and research institutions.

Program Objectives

The program aims to produce graduates who are:

  1. Competitive in industry or in graduate work while providing him with the best opportunity for achieving his full potential during his lifetime;
  2. Imbued with a sense of professional responsibility and social awareness; and
  3. Providers of practical applications and hands-on work as evidenced by laboratory design project study, computer exercises and practicum courses. These would help the student to work well whether independently or as part of a group.
